Vehicle Technician - Product Development - Redditch

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Vehicle Technician who is looking to move away from the tools, get your weekends back, and use your skills & knowledge in Product Development.

This is a role where you will be researching and developing new products used within the garage sector.  

Duties will include:

• Supporting the marketing of the company's products by assisting with the production of demonstration rigs, action shots and videos of tools being used
• Liaising with external trade contacts to keep abreast of what is happening in workshops and assist with research on tooling requirements
• Be aware of new vehicles in the market, in particular, technical developments regarding the use of tooling in the servicing
• Finding appropriate vehicle parts to assist with tool design and testing
• Responsible for the testing of all prototype tools on vehicle parts
• Help with the creation of user instructions by ensuring they have photographic images and a clearly written usable procedure 
• Answer technical questions & queries in relation to products

Experience required:

• Educated to at least Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
