An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Sales Engineer to join an innovative hydraulic engineering company, working across a variety of manufacturing sectors. Working alongside field-based sales personnel and internal departments; the successful candidate will be required to provide comprehensive technical advice to meet customer needs, as well as project manage the development of new products. This is a full time, permanent position, offering an annual salary of £38,000 - £40,000.

As a Technical Sales Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Answer technical questions and make recommendations on hydraulic products and systems and their application
  • Project manage developments from concept through to completion
  • Review, advise and process design requests for new applications
  • Generate full cost analysis breakdowns for accurate sales quotations
  • Provide field support for installation and hands-on troubleshooting
  • Participate in high-level technical discussions

To be successful as a Technical Sales Engineer, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Working knowledge of Off-Highway, Construction, Agricultural and Industrial hydraulic systems
  • Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment
  • Degree educated within Engineering or relevant experience
  • Experience in use of MRP systems
  • Knowledge of PPAP
  • Awareness of Lean Manufacturing Techniques

This position is based in Birmingham and is easily accessible from West Bromwich, Aston, Castle Bromwich, Sutton Coldfield, Saltley and Walsall.
