A logical and proactive Workshop Supervisor is required to join one of the world’s leading power transmission groups; offering complete solutions for drive systems.  As a Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a small team, ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently, whilst taking advantage of training opportunities and putting knowledge into practice. This role does require travel within the UK and Overseas, with occasional overnight stays. The successful candidate will join the team on a full time basis, receiving an annual salary of £30,000 - £35,000 alongside company bonus and pension schemes as well as available overtime.

As a Workshop Supervisor, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a small team within own workshop but also at customer sires
  • Strip and inspect industrial gearboxes, recording the condition of component parts
  • Rebuild gearboxes following standard engineering practices
  • Mechanical fitting – building up assemblies, adjusting limits and fits
  • Work diligently and in accordance with appropriate quality and safety standards
  • Liaise with customer in respect of technical issues e.g. failure modes and product commissioning

To be successful as a Workshop Supervisor, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Recognised engineering qualification with a sound understanding of mechanical systems
  • Practical experience of good workshop practice
  • Measuring and adjusting tolerances and fits in assemblies
  • Experience in mechanical service and repair
  • Previous experience working in an industrial, workshop, repair or manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of fasteners, seals and other standard engineering features

This role is based in Warrington, and is easily accessible from Liverpool, St. Helens and Altrincham.
