SAP European Business Analyst - Birmingham (West Brom, Sutton, Solihull, Halesowen circle)

A Business Analyst for Shared Services with a strong understanding  of SAP 4.6 and financial modules within SAP systems. You will want to have the desire to learn and support new ERP systems. The current systems of choice being SAP but a long term transition is being made to PLEX across Europe. Full training and support in PLEX will be given, whilst you take an integral role in Financial elements and modules on the current SAP ERP

Support project execution in the following Finance areas:

• Accounts Receivable (invoice, billing)
• Accounts Payable
• Tax
• General Ledger
• Statutory and VAT reporting
• Inventory adjustments, valuation/revaluation
• Month End / Year End close procedures
• Plant Finance

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand EDI interfaces to accounts receivable and cash application processes
• Provide end user support in key functional areas
• Good technical configuration, ABAP skills
• Complete project tasks and resolve issues by defined due dates and to acceptable levels of quality
• Collaborate with other teams (Purchasing, Sales, Materials, Quality, etc.) to ensure integrated system is configured and processing correctly
• Lead the planning, execution and tracking of all data conversion and validation activities for your functional area
• Document business processes, develop SOPs and training materials, and define/enter training data
• Assist to update work instructions and process documentation and coordinate local language requests

Required Qualifications and Experience to succeed in the role:

• Good knowledge of Finance modules in SAP and Plex
• Experience about providing support for SAP 4.6
• At least 3 years of experience in similar position
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Open, global mindset, capable of working on cross functional projects
• Willingness to learn and support multiple ERP systems
• Open to travel
