A fantastic new opportunity has arisen within a global technology centre focussing on New Energy solutions for a Quality Engineer.

Recognised as a world leader in the area of handling equipment, our client is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer.

Working alongside the project and engineering teams we are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to assist the team in the end to end delivery cycle of engineering projects from the initial scoping of the need, through to commission/setting to work and handing back the completed project to the client.

As a Quality Engineer you will also provide support the Quality Manager in delivering quality processes to ensure the highest quality manufacturing, authorised as compliant to all relevant regulations and is delivered to clients on time and without defect.


  • Working with the project team assist in the successful delivery of all engineering and design projects to meet client’s technical standards, on time and on budget.
  • Ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the Quality Management System and relevant standards.
  • Work with the Engineering and Assembly teams to ensure the control of all non-conforming parts, following the specified Quality Procedure in order to ensure that non-compliant or defective parts are excluded from the build process and do not reach our customer.
  • Conduct both Internal and external audit processes.
  • Monitor, investigate and support the timely resolution of Customer, Supplier and Internal Non-Conformances.
  • Ensure our products have full traceability and conformance documentation through the design, manufacturing process and on delivery to the customer.
  • Support the project team to provide the necessary information to the assembly and commissioning teams for testing of the remote handling equipment.
  • Support the project team to identify problems and solutions as they arise during the project lifecycle.

To be successful in your application for the role of Quality Engineer, you should:

  • Hold a relevant engineering qualification and knowledge of ISO9001, Kaizen, Lean, Root Cause Analysis and Statistical reporting methods.
  • Ideally you will have operated within highly regulated Quality Management Systems, used a wide range of inspection measuring equipment and have implemented Lean Manufacturing methods.
  • Have a good understanding of a project lifecycle including project management, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
  • Be able to build relationships with others in your office and at other locations including clients and suppliers.
  • Have several years’ experience in a Quality Engineer role.
  • Have experience of a project led organisation.
  • Have experience of working in an engineering environment; mechanical, electrical or manufacturing.
  • Have a good understanding of Health, Safety, and the Environment

This position is based in Oxfordshire, and is easily accessible from Oxford, Abingdon, Newbury, Didcot, Harwell etc.
