An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to work at a purpose build state of the art engineering facility based in the Exeter area. As Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for playing a key role which includes evaluating existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements and support the introduction of new products, processes and equipment into production.
 
Excellent salary and benefits- Operating a four-day week- Monday- Thursday 7am-6pm
 
As a Manufacturing Engineer, your key responsibilities will include
  • Resolving issues with production process, equipment and improving their efficiencies. 
  • Support production staff and help them develop through dedicated training plans.
  • Aid with the design, build and evolution of the business’s production capability, within the U.K and abroad. 
  • Ensure the safety of employees is being safeguarded through rigid execution of the safety policy.
  • Support the production planning and scheduling process by identifying capacity constraints and working on resolutions.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Quality to ensure that the quality of product delivered to the customer is paramount.
  • Creating documentation that supports manufacturing (e.g. Process flow maps, PFMEA’s, Control plans, work instructions, visual aids, tool registers) to ensure compliance and consistency of our build process
 
To be successful in the role of Manufacturing Engineer, you must be able to demonstrate the following:
  • A degree in Production Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering or a similar discipline. 
  • Knowledge of CAD (SOLIDWORKS) useful.
  • Familiar with automated production and programming.
  • Experience of overseeing in-house product quality control.
  • Track record in introducing new products through development, prototyping and into volume manufacturing.
This position is based in Exeter and is easily commutable from Devon, Newton Abbott, Taunton, Exmouth, Torquay
