Recruit 12 has an exciting opportunity for a Plant Manager to have an oversight of a joint venture electric motor design and manufacturing business within the company.

Your responsibilities as a Plant Manager will include:

  • Own and deliver the business plan for the site and business as a whole, engaging as needed with global functional leaders to mitigate risks to the plan.
  • Think strategically and systematically; working towards the companies long-term success, as well as business and facilities short-term success
  • Problem solves and makes decisions by applying analytical and creative thinking skills, as well as strong business acumen and sense of urgency; including coaching subordinates to do the same.
  • Complete face-to-face reviews and individual development plans with staff-level employees annually
  • Hold communication meetings with employees regularly:
  • Ensure that meetings are transparent, candid, constructive, and overall up-lifting
  • Connect what the people are doing to the companies success and their customer’s success
  • Participate actively in creating/sustaining a strong talent management process and committee for all people. Create a dynamic learning culture in which people grow within and beyond the facility
  • Know when to ask for help from others

To be a successful candidate as a Plant Manager you will need to:

  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s Degree / Professional Certifications preferred.
  • 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations with significant managerial / leadership experience that includes plant management and P&L responsibility.  Global functional experience in a multi-site, multi-country business, or business transformation experience is strongly preferred.
  • Motivated and willing to accept responsibility, quite often including hands-on leadership and mentoring, and leading across multiple functions and reporting relationships.
  • Excellent organizational, team-building, problem-solving, planning, decision-making and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent English language skills including proficiency in written and oral communications, PC software, and presentation skills.
  • Willing to travel internationally as needed and work non-normal business hours.
