Recruit 12 has an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to be able to manage a wide range of HR Generalist activities whilst working with and providing support and advice to employees at all levels within the business, whilst working to achieve the plant HR strategies and objectives.

Your responsibilities as a HR Advisor will include:

  • Remain aware of and advise others on HR policies and procedures, legislative changes, additions/amendments to employment rights/regulations and best practice to facilitate professional supervision of employees
  • Undertake projects that support the annual plant objectives
  • Identify, facilitate solutions and provide guidance to those dealing with employment matters such as performance, conduct, discipline, grievance, discrimination claims, unfair treatment and personal problems etc, ensuring detailed note trails in case of legal action
  • Attend Works Council Committee meetings, issue minutes and undertake actions that arise from these meetings
  • Organising and supporting in disciplinary hearings, ensuring fairness, consistancy and adherence to policy. Advising managers on appropriate outcomes up to and incuding dismissal.
  • Ensuring all record keeping is compliant with legislation and accessible for future use.
  • Assist and oversee full recruitment process. Working with relevant Manager to design EJD and vacancy advertisement, supporting and conducting interviews and making offers of employment.
  • Support orther HR functions such as training, H&S and payroll
  • Organising and supporting greivance hearings, investigating and advising on outcomes.
  • Produce daily, weekly and monthly absence reports to analyse and monitor results
  • Maintain and use HR systems such as SAP and Crown to produce accurate reports and conduct further analysis / OSP development in order to tailor strategies around current KPI status.
  • Ensure that new starters and leavers are processed correctly upon commencement and departure in SAP HR, Crown.
  • Undertake exit interviews and develop meaningful labour turnover analysis and reporting which measures problems, identifies causes and recommends counter-measures
  • Ensure all employee communications are displayed on the notice boards by completing weekly audits.
  • Managing employee reward process such as quarterly and annual attendance draws and long service vouchers.
  • Supporting the organisation of bi annual business updates to the workforce
  • Any other ad hoc tasks as requested that underpin the Company's vision and values whilst considering the credibility and reputation of the HR department
  • Willing to cover Reception duties as and when required.
  • Support in fire marshalling and be second point of call during the fire evacuation process.

  • Identify and carry out absence management activities to meet company target for absence rates. Actions may include: facilitate return to work interviews, maintaining regular contact with absentees, attend and chair absence review meetings, conduct home visits, manage referrals to Occupational Health, gaining employee consent to access further medical information, requesting comprehensive medical report from GP, facilitating return to work rehabilitation programmes and applying capability processes where appropriate.

To be a successful candidate as a HR Advisor you will need:

  • CIPD qualified or possess a degree in HRM (or equivalent) (or be willing to work towards)
  • Strong HR Advisor experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
  • Adherence and promotion of best practice application to the business requirements.
  • Ability to train others in HR policies and procedures.
  • Ability to lead and guide managers and supervisors and make local decisions to progress issues.
  • Able to build relationships and influence at all levels whilst displaying trust, integrity, sensitivity, confidentiality,
  • professionalism, diversity awareness and good networking skills
  • Ensure fairness, consistency, accuracy and best practice in the application of all HR policies.
