We currently have an opportunity to join one of the UK's fastest growing distributors of Commercial Vehicle Parts as a Buyer.

As Buyer, you will be responsible for:

  • Building relationships with current suppliers and seeking new suppliers across the range of 15000 part lines, negotiating prices and terms
  • Seeking cost reductions whilst maintaining quality of product and presentation
  • Improving & maintaining service levels through Purchase order management and supplier contact
  • Liaising with all internal departments with regards to supply and delivery of product
  • Assisting with Product development and introduction
  • Some travel may be required to attend overseas /UK trade fairs


To be successful as Buyer, you will need:

  • At least 3 years experience in a Buying role.
  • Experience of dealing with overseas/deep sea/LCC suppliers and operating in multi currencies
  • Some experience of shipping via LCL/Container loads would be an advantage
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the Commercial Vehicle parts industry
  • Computer literate with experience of Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of MAM Autopart would be preferred but not essential
