We are currently recruiting for Assembly Maintenance Technicians to work for a company who is dedicated to the design, development and manufacture of metal automotive components.  Working on a 3 shift basis.


Working as a Assembly Maintenance Technician, your duties and responsibilities will include the following:


  • Provide breakdown support to manufacturing areas, carry out improvements and preventative maintenance on equipment on site.
  • Renovation and routine maintenance of assembly equipment.
  • Carry out fault finding activities and undertake timely repair of equipment in the following areas - robotics, PLC's, electrical control systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities on automated production facilities.
  • Adherence to departmental systems (Pm, recording downtime) (Pirana).
  • Ensure strict adherence to safe working practices and observe safety rules at all times.
  • Timely response to equipment shortages.
  • Improvements to assembly equipment (Kaisan).
  • Key performance indicators such as equipment OEE.


To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following:


  • Must hold recognised maintenance apprenticeship preferably or equivalent experience within automotive industry.
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Technical Qualification or equivalent.
  • Problem solving skills using structured approach.
  • Must be IT literate - MS Office & AutoCAD.
  • Risk Assessment.
  • Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMI's (Human Machine Interface) beneficial.
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of Mig & Sport Welding process.
  • 17th or 18th Edition Regulations Qualified is desirable.


This position is based in Cannock and is easily commutable from Hednesford, Burntwood, Lichfield, Stafford and Rugeley.
