Recruit 12 has an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Quality Engineer to focus on growing WAE’s capability and support the introduction of automated manufacturing equipment and process, enabling the significant production capacity growth of our business.

Your responsibilities as an Advanced Quality Engineer will include:

  • Actively participate in the development of Process and Design FMEA’s as well as design reviews for the assigned product and related tooling.
  • Generate and/or champion 8-D for the prototype process including for problem solving, test failures, and prototype failures.
  • Track and report First Time Capability for prototype builds.
  • Facilitate prototype dimensional layouts and prepare prototype PPAP and/or PSW submissions.
  • Initiate dimensional layouts on production piece parts for the purpose of qualifying piece parts for production release.
  • In conjunction with the Engineering organisation and Suppliers, identify significant characteristics for all piece parts and track the quality level of pre-production piece part runs to ensure that the piece-part tooling meets the capability goals for the product.
  • Work in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineer to ensure the manufacturing process is meeting the product’s defined quality level and process capability levels identified for the product.
  • Lead the “line readiness” event activities as required
  • Maintain documentation required for Advance Quality Planning
  • Maintain a close working relationship with Procurement and Supplier Quality Assurance personnel to assist in resolving issues and selecting appropriate suppliers for projects

To be a successful candidate as an Advanced Quality Engineer you will need:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of departmental, company, and corporate procedures and systems, i.e., ISO9000, ISO9001, TS16949, PPAP, FMEA, APQP, GDT, ISO14001.
  • Good problem identification and problem-solving abilities. Able to organize and prioritize completion of assigned tasks. Leads others in root cause analysis.
  • Must be able to work independently on quality tasks and responsibilities while being an integral of a product development team. Operates with substantial latitude without review by superiors.
  • Proven track record of being able to work on multiple programs concurrently while maintaining timely completion of defined project tasks.
